Brooks Family for salt lake city

We believe God’s promises are sure and that He fully intends to save many in Utah. He promised that Jesus Christ would be the firstborn among many brothers (Romans 8:29).

Perhaps God is impressing you to have a part in this unique opportunity. All can pray. Some can relocate to the SLC Valley. And some can support God's work through gifts.

Why is our family headed to Salt Lake City?

Jesus Christ has given promises

In his letter to Christians at Rome, the Apostle Paul wrote, "I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation, but as it is written, Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.”

Like Paul, we believe these promises are compelling. The promises shaped Paul's vision and path. Jesus Christ has given us His clear "wills." Our part is to tell; His part is to cause them to see. Our part is to proclaim; His part is to cause them to understand.

Salt Lake City needs more gospel

Of the 2.6 million people in Utah, over 2 million live within one hour of downtown Salt Lake City. The Salt Lake City region has the youngest population in the U.S., the highest birthrate in the U.S., the most educated adult workforce, and the lowest number of gospel preaching churches per person of any state in the country. Salt Lake City has been viewed as a predominantly Mormon stronghold, yet "only" 45% of Salt Lakers claim to be connected to the LDS church. While there are a growing number of Gospel-preaching churches in SLC, the need for more remains great. The opportunities to share Jesus Christ with both the religious and irreligious are staggering.

Jesus Christ is leading us to plant churches
